Permanent. Accounts Assistant

Your main responsibilities will include proactively pursuing outstanding debts, regularly contacting debtors to develop professional relationships, sending out system-generated statements/letters/credit notes, etc reconciling customer statements, answering payment/invoice queries as well as other ad hoc administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:  
  • Control of general ledger postings including accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconciliation of balance sheets
  • Undertake bank reconciliations and payment schedules
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Month-end adjustments including prepayments, accruals and journal posting
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
  • Adhoc duties as required

Requirements: 

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Proven working experience in a similar capacity
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
