Permanent. Assistant Financial Controller

The Assistant Financial Controller manages the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Office. You will be responsible for managing all day-to-day finance and accounting operations including oversight of billing, receivables and regulatory and third-party payables.

Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility to ensure accurate and timely billing for annual and quarterly bill runs.
  • Completing month-end and year-end close of the income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts and handle general ledger analysis
  • Liaising with the different departments to ensure timely submission of billing for new clients
  • Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
  • Assisting with the external and internal audit process
  • Assisting with financial policies and procedures

Requirements:  

  • Qualified Accountant with post-qualified experience in the industry
  • Several years of experience in insurance industry
  • Thorough understanding and strong knowledge of IFRS and proficiency in financial statement analysis
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office software packages; Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Proven analytical skills, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks against tight deadlines, able to prioritise and organise effectively

Salary: DOE  per annum plus benefits.
