Permanent. Deputy Director of Facilities Management

Reporting to the Director of Facilities Management, you will be responsible for the oversight, direction, and execution of a diverse spectrum of services encompassing project management, facility enhancements, maintenance, repairs, and security. The primary objective is to uphold Government buildings to the highest standards of maintenance. In addition to these responsibilities, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in aiding the formulation, execution, and supervision of appropriately procured contractual agreements. They will also be instrumental in implementing efficient electronic information management recording systems, as well as programming the core Building Automated System of the department.

You will also be responsible for overseeing contractual agreements, communicating project details to external contractors, and arranging effective project supervision, ensuring the timely and budget-compliant completion of all services, works, and maintenance programs as well as supervising Facilities Staff and Contracted Services, ensuring alignment with team objectives and cross-training benchmarks.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Project Management (Preferred)
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in similar role
  • Certification as a Facilities Manager (CFM, IFMA, or equivalent) or Certified Engineering designation is desirable
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years in depth knowledge of FM critical infrastructure system
  • 5 years of mid to senior management and practical experience in Facilities Management or similar position
  • Technical background with strong competencies in the following; building controls, electronics, commercial refrigeration, Johnson controls, Metasys FEC/NAE engineering & programming or experience with similar PLC’s
  • Formal training in the area of Public Administration is desirable
  • Hands-on experience providing facilities management services and solutions for large commercial office buildings (ideally with building automated systems, raised floor environments, closed loop chilled water systems with core data room management experience)
  • Previous responsibility for budget setting and management
  • Excellent customer and client relationship skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar project management software
  • Experienced in computerized Word Order Management Systems
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
Salary up to US$130K DOE per annum plus benefits
