As the Director of Facilities Management, your role entails providing guidance, overseeing strategic development, and engaging in planning activities to maintain an efficient, sophisticated, and technologically advanced customer-centric Facilities Management service. You will primarily focus on areas such as facilities master planning, budgetary oversight, comprehensive maintenance and repair services, as well as the maintenance of telecommunications networks.

In this capacity, you will strategically manage departmental personnel and the properties under your jurisdiction to effectively address the evolving needs of government agencies. This responsibility encompasses formulating, executing, and supervising appropriately procured contractual agreements, along with efficiently administering electronic information management and recording systems.

Additionally, you will be accountable for conducting internal government awareness campaigns and promoting available professional services to enhance service quality. You’ll also be responsible for developing energy conservation strategies, leading staff and resources in implementing energy management programs, and establishing effective monitoring systems. Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with procurement regulations, manage contracts, participate in contractor selection, issue approved contracts, supervise external contractors, and guarantee the timely and budget-conscious completion of services, works, and maintenance programs.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Project Management, or similar discipline.
  • Certification as a Facilities Manager (CFM, IFMA, or equivalent) or Certified Engineering designation is desirable.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years in depth knowledge of FM critical infrastructure system
  • A Master’s degree in Public Administration or a similar discipline is desirable
  • 10 years of mid to senior management and practical experience in Facilities Management or similar position.
  • Formal training in the area of Public Administration is desirable
  • Experience in Finance and HR Management and Development is required.
  • A team player possessing strong supervisory, leadership, and coaching skills, ideally with experience working with a diverse workforce.
  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
  • Excellent computer skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and administering spreadsheets in Excel.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Projects or similar project management software.
  • Experienced in computerized Word Order Management Systems
Salary: USD$130,000 – 165,000 per annum plus benefits
