Permanent. Manager, AML Compliance

Our client is looking for an experienced professional who can provide the necessary oversight and reports as well as ensure AML requirements are being met and appropriately reported. You will also lead the development and implementation of the Compliance Monitoring programme and ensure a consistent framework across all offices.

Responsibilities: 
  • Provides senior AML Oversight, with a focus on AML onboarding, risk profiling, screening and monitoring 
  • Lead the risk assessment and design of the Company’s Compliance Monitoring plan
  • Implement the compliance monitoring plan, utilising resource as required from the broader compliance team to carry out the testing
  • Drive development of a consistent approach to compliance monitoring across all jurisdiction
  • Review compliance onboarding practices and documentation, liaising with the business as required and make recommendations as to improvements
  • Provide regular and detailed compliance monitoring reports to senior management and the boards of the regulated entities
  • Working closely with client’s Senior Management, identifying issues and proposing solutions
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and changes including AML/KYC due diligence requirements for all components of complex multi-level organizational structures
  • Mentor and develop team members, considering their training and development needs
  • Provide final electronic approval on trapped wires
  • Experience interfacing with banking regulators and other counterparties

Qualifications/Experience: 

  • Four-year degree in Business, Finance or a relevant field with a minimum 5 years’ experience in similar compliance role
  • ACAMS certification would be advantageous
  • Prior proven experience in dealing with AML in relation to corporate structures in the offshore environment
  • Deep subject matter expertise in AML laws and regulations globally.
  • Thorough understanding of an effective financial crimes risk management framework
  • Ability to work with teams of project managers
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work autonomously and initiate and prioritize own work
  • Solid judgment, strong negotiation skills.
Salary: US$ 90,000- US$110,000 per annum, plus benefits.
