As a Procurement Officer, you will be a highly motivated, organized and solution-orientated person by nature. Responsibilities include analyzing user requests and vendor contracts, product sourcing, negotiating pricing and agreement terms as needed.
- Manage inventory and keep proper track of purchase, deliveries and pricing records
- Research, identify potential vendors and build and maintain relationships with existing vendors
- Prepare budgets, cost analyses, and reports
- Help coordinate and participate in the process of value engineering, specification, design and planning
- Keep up with product and service trends and negotiate well and ensure that all purchases comply with company standards
- Engage in regular inventory reconciliations to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained
- Review the sales forecast on weekly basis, identifying trends for various projects and support inventory management and fulfilment
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience working in similar field
- Degree in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field
- Construction background preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Supervisory and management experience
- Attention to detail
