You will be reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and work within the team to obtain and analyze account-specific information for pricing, responsible for the evaluation and pricing of life and health prospects within assigned authority limits and in adherence with company policy and applicable laws and regulations. Provide support to the Risk Analyst and Pricing Committee in service of the Company’s goals in relation to profitable retention of existing books of business, and facilitating sustainable growth. Ensures adequate, accurate and timely delivery of underwriting advices on member applications.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of similar insurance underwriting experience for Underwriter
- An advanced professional designation in life or health insurance, such
- as the FLMI, AALU, or HIA
- Strong multi-tasking, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
- Technical Underwriting Capabilities and Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong written, verbal and phone communication skills
- Aptitude for mathematics, decision-making, and meeting established production and accuracy goals
Salary: US$120,000 – US$140,000 per annum plus benefits.
