The Agency is recruiting for a Senior Accountant on behalf of our client. This is an initial 3-month contract requiring an immediate start.

Impactful Work: Contribute to the financial oversight and strategic operations of multiple government departments and entities.

Professional Growth: Develop advanced skills in reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and public sector financial management.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with diverse teams and advise key Ministry leaders on financial matters and performance.

• Support financial reporting, reconciliations, and monitoring of multiple departments and entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of key reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow activities, providing relevant financial data and analysis.
• Contribute to asset management, including inventories and fixed assets, and ensure inter-organization transactions are reconciled.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and provide guidance on financial matters, while supporting junior staff development and departmental performance reviews.

Requirements: 

• Degree in accounting or a related field, with professional accounting certification desirable or in progress.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience with financial systems and advanced data tools.
• Strong skills in financial analysis, reporting, and numerical reasoning.
• Effective communication and relationship management abilities; familiarity with public sector accounting practices and specific financial systems is a plus. 

Salary: US$35 – US$40 per hour.
