The Agency is recruiting for a Chief Fuels Inspector on behalf of our client.

National Impact: Shape oversight of a strategically critical sector that underpins economic stability and public safety.

Strategic Influence: Operate at executive and board level, directly informing policy, regulatory direction, and sector development.

Sector Leadership: Lead a highly specialised regulatory function within a complex, safety-critical operating environment.

• Provide senior regulatory leadership for the fuels sector, ensuring compliance with legislative, safety, and technical frameworks.
• Oversee sector performance, risk management, and market conduct while advising executive leadership on regulatory effectiveness.
• Lead permitting, inspection, and enforcement regimes aligned with international standards and national priorities.
• Represent the organisation nationally and internationally, contributing to emergency response, standards development, and sector advancement.

• Advanced academic or professional qualifications in a relevant regulatory, technical, legal, or economic discipline.
• Extensive senior-level experience within utility regulation, fuels, energy, or a closely related sector.
• Demonstrated capability in executive leadership, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory governance.
• Proven experience managing complex operational, financial, and compliance functions in a safety-sensitive environment.

Salary: US$171,922 – US$199,411 per annum.
