The Agency is recruiting for an Assistant Financial Controller on behalf of our client.

Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger and generate accurate financial statements and reports in line with U.S. GAAP.
- Oversee routine accounting activities such as managing cash disbursements, processing expense reports, and setting up bank transfers.
- Maintain the effectiveness of internal controls and drive improvements in accounting processes.
- Prepare and evaluate accounting records for monthly reinsurance transactions.
- Perform reconciliations of financial assets and liabilities, including complex financial instruments and reinsurance-related accounts.
- Assist in the execution of yearly audits, regulatory filings, and conduct technical accounting analysis.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure the precision of financial data and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (Master’s preferred).
- Professional certification such as CPA or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial accounting for insurance or reinsurance, or a background in auditing with one of the Big 4 firms.
- Experience with U.S. GAAP consolidated financial statements.
- Proficient in the accounting for life and annuity products and familiar with relevant standards.
- Skilled in using accounting software like SAGE Intact or SAGE 300, and advanced proficiency in MS Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Salary: US$110K – US$120K per annum plus benefits.
