The Agency is recruiting for an Associate Head Underwriter (P&C) on behalf of our client.

Strategic Leadership Exposure: Step into a senior underwriting leadership position supporting portfolio strategy, risk appetite, and market development across global P&C reinsurance lines.

High‑Impact Underwriting Influence: Play a key role in reviewing complex submissions, driving profitable portfolio growth, and shaping underwriting frameworks and governance.

Global Market Interaction: Collaborate directly with brokers, cedents, actuaries, and executive stakeholders across multiple reinsurance markets.

• Oversee underwriting activities across the Property & Casualty reinsurance portfolio.
• Support the Head of Underwriting with pricing strategy, portfolio optimisation, and risk selection.
• Review, approve, and guide complex or high‑value treaty and facultative submissions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and cedents across key markets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging risks to inform underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate with actuarial, finance, claims, and risk teams to ensure accurate pricing and capital utilisation.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of underwriting tools, guidelines, and processes.

• Significant underwriting experience within Property & Casualty reinsurance, with exposure to multi‑line treaty portfolios.
• Proven experience in a senior or review‑level underwriting role.
• Strong analytical and technical underwriting capability, including exposure modelling and pricing methodologies.
• Excellent relationship‑management skills across internal and external counterparties.
• Professional qualifications such as ACII, CPCU, ARe, or equivalent are advantageous.
