We are recruiting for a Chief AML Officer on behalf of our client.

Strategic Involvement: Support executive leadership in risk assessments and decision-making, and directly contribute to the organization’s strategic approach to AML/CFT regulations and compliance improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Manage and review monitoring and inspection activities, ensuring they meet regulatory guidelines and AML/CFT standards.
  • Prepare supervisory reports, conduct in-depth investigations on complex compliance issues, and advise on necessary corrective measures.
  • Oversee and evaluate AML/CFT compliance for regulated entities.
  • Facilitate discussions with regulated entities and auditors to ensure regulatory obligations are met, escalating enforcement actions when required.
  • Contribute to drafting and updating supervisory manuals, deliver educational presentations, and provide hands-on training.
  • Support senior management with risk assessments team leadership, performance management, and monitoring of ML/TF trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, or Accounting.
  • At least 6 years of experience in AML/CFT Compliance, Risk Management, or Auditing.
  • AML/CFT or Fraud Prevention credentials.
  • Professional certifications in IT security (such as CISA, CISSP, CPA) are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations, financial sanctions, and international standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient in Microsoft Office.
