The Agency is recruiting for a Reinsurance Accountant on behalf of a client.

Regulatory Compliance Focus: Enhance your skills in ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards, a critical aspect of the financial industry.

• Ensure reconciliation of reinsurance transactions are accurate and in line with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Handle premiums, claims, commissions and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reports.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and regulatory filings for client operations and reinsurance activities.
• Evaluate reinsurance contracts to determine the appropriate accounting treatment for revenue and expenses.
• Liaise with external auditors during financial audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
• Work with underwriting and claims departments to validate reinsurance data and address discrepancies.
• Streamline reinsurance accounting procedures and enhance efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Accounting or Finance, or a related field.
• Professional Qualification such as CPA is required.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience in the reinsurance, insurance, or financial services industries.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft accounting systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and perform complex reconciliations.
