The Agency is recruiting for a Director of Finance on behalf of our client.

Strategic Leadership: Take charge of financial operations for a regulated insurance entity, with exposure to reinsurance, capital management, and international reporting standards.

Global Scope: Work across jurisdictions including Cayman and Barbados, contributing to international financial oversight and compliance.

• Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in accordance with IFRS 17.
• Lead internal and external audit processes, including compliance with SOX and preparation of shareholder financial statements.
• Present financial results and analysis at board meetings, including dividend calculations and capital planning.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across the insurance finance function.
• Develop and maintain robust reinsurance finance infrastructure and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, plus a recognised professional accounting designation (CPA, CA or equivalent).
• 7–10 years of experience in financial reporting, planning, and forecasting, ideally within the reinsurance or insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and insurance products, including IFRS 17.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging rating agencies and regulators.

Salary – US$130,000 – US$190,000
