The Agency is recruiting for a Veterinarian on behalf of our client. 

• Work in conjunction with internal and external departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within management systems, ensuring proper reporting and safe storage of all medications.
• Mentor and train junior team members, focusing on essential tasks such as administering medications, feeding protocols, and animal care.
• Assist in conducting research projects, presenting findings at conferences, and publishing relevant articles to contribute to the field.
• Occasionally serve as the company’s figurehead by addressing media inquiries and responding to questions.
• Provide emergency medical care when needed and perform post-mortem examinations to determine causes of animal death.
• Stay up to date with changes in industry protocols and standards, ensuring they are integrated into the organisation’s practices.
• Prepare detailed monthly reports for management and assist with audits where necessary.

Requirements:

• Professional veterinarian qualification with a license to practice in the Cayman Islands, UK, USA, Canada, Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad & Tobago.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in an aquarium is preferred.
• First Aid certification required, with experience in large-scale health management considered advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite; familiarity with databases like ZIMS is a plus.
• Physically active with diving certifications considered beneficial but not essential.
• Strong ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and effectively collaborate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with third parties.

Salary: US$105,000 – US$140,000 per annum.
