The Agency is recruiting for a Technical Underwriter on behalf of our client, a leading reinsurance firm specialising across Property & Casualty lines.

High-Level Analytical Impact: Play a key role in supporting underwriting decisions through technical pricing, modelling, and portfolio analysis across diverse P&C reinsurance lines.

Strategic Exposure: Work closely with senior underwriters, actuaries, and leadership teams, contributing directly to underwriting strategy and performance.

• Perform technical analysis to support underwriting decisions across P&C treaty and facultative portfolios.
• Develop and refine pricing models, tools, and rating methodologies.
• Evaluate portfolio performance, loss trends, and exposure data to drive improved underwriting outcomes.
• Prepare technical reports, insights, and recommendations for underwriting committees.
• Collaborate with actuarial and underwriting teams on new product development and pricing frameworks.
• Support governance by contributing to underwriting guidelines, controls, and documentation.
• Assist in capital modelling inputs, scenario analysis, and portfolio optimisation initiatives.

• Experience in technical underwriting, actuarial analysis, or P&C pricing within insurance or reinsurance.
• Strong analytical and modelling skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
• Exposure to pricing tools, actuarial techniques, or portfolio monitoring.
• Progress toward ACII, ACAS, FIA, or similar qualifications is an advantage.
• Ability to translate technical insights into clear commercial recommendations.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
