The Agency is recruiting for an Assistant Vice President, AML and Compliance on behalf of a client.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the seamless onboarding of new clients.
  • Participate in new business calls, providing AML guidance.
  • Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements and AML/KYC due diligence.
  • Approve low and medium-risk client account openings and amendments.
  • Examine high-risk accounts and perform periodic reviews to ensure data integrity.
  • Update due diligence records and AML documentation for high-risk accounts.
  • Provide electronic approval on trapped wires and review transactions and account activity.
  • Offer guidance on compliance screening results.
  • Promote a Risk-Based Approach to AML/KYC, transaction monitoring and ensure timely reporting of suspicious activities.
  • Mentor and assist in the training and development of the AML Compliance team.
  • Collaborate with senior management providing back-up support as needed.
  • Establish and maintain high standards of service quality for clients.
  • Assist in policy development and implementation to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or a related field.
  • Relevant Professional Certification in Compliance.
  • At least 5 years of experience in banking of finance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization abilities.
