Hire Local Cayman

February 19, 2021

A little background

#hirelocalcayman is more than a catchy marketing campaign.

It’s no secret that we like to do things differently.

The Agency was founded with one main vision in mind: to positively disrupt the Cayman market by changing the very nature of how recruitment takes place and being driven by a community focus.

Our purpose is and always will be to make a positive impact on the lives of local people and help local businesses to thrive by utilizing the best available, local talent with our help.

Our new campaign was born from this vision. It was triggered by the negative, knock on effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unemployment was climbing upwards of 7% and many local people suffered greatly, losing their jobs and their livelihoods and we had to do something about it. Hire Local Cayman was our way of standing side by side with the people we serve.

What is #hirelocalcayman?

Hire Local Cayman is a campaign we launched in January 2021 with the aim of securing 100 jobs for 100 local people by the end of 2021.

As a leading recruitment consultancy solely focused on Cayman recruitment, we are incredibly excited to roll out this campaign and hope to play a meaningful role in positively improving the employment rate in Cayman.

The Agency has always been on a mission to support Cayman job seekers and Cayman employers, but with the help of this campaign we are striving to attract even more, local candidates; both unemployed and underemployed. We are also encouraging local businesses to join us in this mission to find and attract, hire and retain more local talent.

Now is a prime time for Cayman companies to play a crucial role in helping to improve the local economic situation and the lives of those closest to us. That is not to say that Cayman does not benefit from the specialist skills and expertise of overseas candidates; it just means that now more than ever, Cayman needs a boost and a local focus must be the priority. Pair this with the fact that the Cayman borders are not officially open and that there are many local candidates who are keen and able to retrain for many open positions, and it is clear that local hiring has major benefits all round.
