Working as a Legal Secretary in the Cayman Islands

Living in a Caribbean paradise with sun, sea, quality work and zero tax.

Cayman Sunsets

Legal Secretarial work is a more sought-after career in the Cayman Islands. Many of the law firms in the Cayman Islands are as prestigious as any elsewhere in the world and can offer quality work, high salaries and good work/life balance. Most legal secretaries also generally have fewer lawyers to support and have more involvement in the legal aspects of the work instead. Many who relocate to the islands therefore see it as a route of progression, as well as an improvement in lifestyle.

As a rough guideline, Legal Secretaries can expect salaries in the range of US$60-95,000*. Most firms also provide discretionary performance bonuses, generous holiday allowances (there also 11 public holidays per annum) and healthcare cover. There is zero tax in the Cayman Islands so you get to keep everything you earn.
